My girlfriend and I have this wonderful tradition – once a year we leave our husbands and our kids for most needed GPT ( girlfriends personal time). We try to alternate the places we visit. Sometimes we pick Stratford Shakespearian Festival , because we need to brush up on our proper pronunciations (those times we try to speak Russian with proper English accent), and sometimes we go to what I call Napa of Michigan, where we taste new wines and new foods.
This year it was one of these times when attend the wine festival “Divas Uncorked”,
Take a look what fun we had:
first stop – Peninsula Cellars – every diva was given a glass with one charm on it.
see few men there – they were designated “divas”
on our way to our second winery
ladies, please don’t panic there is plenty of wine for everyone!
by our 4th winery we felt a little tipsy - we did not have a designated “diva’
, so we decided to stay a little longer and to take few more pictures
at the end of our tour we had 6 charms on our glasses, that means we visited 6 wineries ladies and gentlemen!!!!
It was a wonderful event, but unfortunately we had to go back, but in true Napa style we were escorted by sail boats
What’s you favorite tradition? Will you share it with me?

Sounds like a relaxing time you had. Nice of the guys to take on family stuff for you all to get away.
thanks Totsymae, it was fabulous!!!!
Wow, that looks amazing! And such beautiful photos. I love the pink flowers. So impressed with the number of charms, by the way! You know, I don’t have many girlfriend traditions right now. But I do enjoy spending an evening with my three sisters whenever we’re all in town. The four of us keep each other laughing all night!
Once agIn I am jealous, you have not one, not two, but three sisters. My girlfriend is just like a sister to me. She starts a sentence and I could finish it.
Ariana, what a wonderful day you must’ve had! I can’t imagine anything funner than to go winery to winery in the company of a fun girlfriend! But what do you mean there’s no designated diva? Surely that should have been part of the program!
The sailboat ride must’ve been amazing! Your photographs brought your post to life. I love the one with the pink flowers and also the one that shows the vineyards. Thank you for sharing your fun time with us!
Bella, it was awesome!!! there were women, who hired taxi services to drive them around, you should have seen them. They really had a lot of fun!!
