Wordless Wednesday – Secrets of Autumn….

Ever since I moved to Michigan, I was missing the hustle and the bustle of the big city.  (I was a city girl.) After every trip outside of Detroit we would come back packing our bags, with the following words: “Kids, this is it we are out of here, we are moving to…. New York, Boston, San Fransisco, Barcelona, Rome”……., but the truth was/is we are not going anywhere and with time we learned how to appreciate the quite, suburban life of almost every American family. We learned to appreciate it so much that even quite suburban life had become too hectic for us, so this past weekend we took a trip and re-discovered Pure Michigan in the Autumn.

Welcome to Michigan Legacy Park.  Outdoor sculpture park, that has a collection of 43 works of art. Here are some of them:

The best part about a long and a beautiful day is that by the end of it you can sit by the fire  with your feet up and share the moment with no one!!!

I love this! Love the combo of art and nature. It’s perfect. Wish I didn’t live so far away. Beautiful.

I loved the tapestry quote on the stone sculpture. Thanks for sharing that, Ariana. Glad you settled into the suburbian lifestyle. I love it. It’s the pace that I enjoy living in but having access to the city is cool too.

We lived outside of Grand Rapids for a while. Michigan is a beautiful place, but I couldn’t take the cold and the snow. I loved all the trees, though. Thanks for sharing your gorgeous photos.

So beautiful! You really captured the essence of fall and the leaves with your photos too.

These are beautiful. We once lived in Detroit and we looked for reasons to get out to the country or the metro-parks whenever we could. This place reminds me of some of the places we frequented. Beautiful photos. Thank you for sharing, and thanks for stopping by my blog, too.

Ariana, I visited an outdoor art exhibit very much like this one here in Europe. I was fascinated at seeing art exposed in the raw elements of nature. I’m sure I would have enjoyed myself immensely viewing the amazing pieces you’ve presented here!

  7. You take gorgeous pictures! I am jealous of your photography abilities!
